Florian A. Kunz is graduate engineer and received his degree 2007 at the University of Applied Sciences in München. In his master thesis he worked on “The development of a measuring unit for determination of biological and chemical data of aquatic organisms”. This work was conducted at the Department of Organismic Biology of the University of Salzburg under supervision of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Mag. Alois Lametschwandtner. From 2007 – 2009 he was employee at the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Technique in the research group Cryoequipment and Cryorobotics. His tasks concerned the construction, development and evaluation of cryotechnological apparatures and mobile labs (security level 3). Since 2009 he works on his PHD thesis under supervision of Prof. Franz Lahnsteiner. In this works he transfers the research results on fish semen cryopreservation into an automated, economic technology. Beside of this work he is involved in the running biological projects as technical consultant.
